I Don't Understand

She's a Keeper

There is so much that I don't understand.

For instance those that believe there is no God, no Creator...how can they explain the origin of the universe...or even the origin of molecules, atoms, the smallest known subatomic particles that are the very foundation of our universe?

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:3

I don't understand how followers of Christ that are in authority positions intentionally deceive those within the body of Christ, misleading the flock into thinking their message or actions are of God.

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
II Corinthians 2:17

I don't understand how these same people who are entrusted with our Lords redeemed can claim they love the flock but when trouble arises flee the flock.

The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
John 10:13

I don't understand how a nation that allows the practice of infanticide, even nods their heads in approval of it can expect to be blessed by a holy God, the Creator of all mankind.

Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters - See 2 Kings 16:3; Ezekiel 16:20; Ezekiel 20:31; Isaiah 57:5.

And again, I don't understand the great mercy that our God shows us.
But by repenting, turning from our sin, He will forgive...He is faithful.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
II Chronicles 7:14

Prayerfully and a bit homesick for home/heaven, Julie

Thankfully, we don't have to figure it all out and can put our trust in God. It does make one long for heaven, that is for sure.

PS, How is Nick doing?

Jenn, Nick is still in the tack room,...thanks for asking!
His leg has not healed with the pins in it and he's no longer putting weight on it.
More than likely it will be amputated at this point. But he's doing great without the use of it. He runs, plays, and does everything that he did before when he had full use of it.
It's a shame but at least we still have him :-)!

Regarding the post, yes God has my trust, but sadly, there are too many that don't trust Him and elevate themselves at the expense of others. And that, "I dont' understand."
Blessings!

I so agree, Julie. It gets kind of overwhelming sometimes. You just know that none of this anti-God stuff can be fixed apart from a work of His Spirit, giving revelation and Truth everywhere it is needed. And so we pray.

Yes, homesick for our Home!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Beautiful pictures. Beautiful words. I agree it becomes overwhelming. I feel that so often about our nation - a nation that should know the Truth, but has wilfully put it aside in favour of their own gods and ideals. And your last text, from Chronicles, is one I often read and meditate on. We pray on....

You are all such blessings!
Thanks, ladies, for your encouragement.
I'm one of those people that thinks too much and at times it spills over into my blog.
But again, thanks for your kind words.
And yes, we pray on...
